Gold Rates Today Canada is an independent, free resource for transparent gold, silver and platinum price information. We publish per-gram rates for 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K gold in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa and Edmonton — alongside a free gold value calculator that converts any weight and karat into an instant CAD estimate.
Where our rates come from
We compile our rates from third-party market data (Gold-API.com, with GoldAPI.io as an optional backup), converted to Canadian dollars, and work to refresh them throughout the trading day. Every rate table on this site carries a visible timestamp in Eastern Time, so you always know exactly how fresh the numbers are. When our market feed is unavailable, we show clearly-labelled indicative reference rates instead of live prices.
Independent and free
We are not a gold dealer, jeweller or broker, and we don’t sell gold. No dealer pays for placement in our rate tables — the numbers are the numbers. The site is free for everyone, supported by advertising.
